A comment from a site visitor. Nicely put.

There was a time when it would have been self-evident that a gem such as Little Green Street should be treasured. You don't have to be a student of architecture to respond to its character and palpable historical associations. The cultivation - or perhaps just accommodation - of eccentricity, individuality and difference in people is a sure sign of a mature society and it follows that the ironing out of architectural kinks as irreplaceable as this would truly reflect our culture's decline into blandness and barbarism.
