Comment of the day

[Some people really 'get it', as the Prime Minister would say]

"Although I do not know Little Green Street personally, I have followed the case closely because it demonstrates vividly the shortcomings of our current planning policies. If this appeal is allowed, against the wishes of the local authority, the residents and almost everyone who is aware of the situation apart from the developer and his paid consultants it will be an absolute travesty. It is plain from photographs and basic measurements that access can not be gained without disproportionate and unjust interference with the rights and interests of the householders and residents. It would also be extremely damaging to a grade 2 listed area and it seems unlikely from the configuration of the site".
