Little Green Street (although now with an lazily added patch of asphalt and a few flat screen tellys) is pretty much the way it has been for a couple of hundred years.

Not very clever would-be developers are still stuck with a site they can't afford to develop, let alone make the returns they thought they would on, so the street is still untouched.

It remains under threat though and that is primarily what this site is for - its is a resource to help explain why protecting the street is important. Its also a text-book (its been ripped off by countless planning students) time-line of how to stuff up a development idea.

One day, doubtlessly something will be built on the derelict land known as 'the railway club', but no-one can see how half-buried £2,000,000 houses (that's what they'll have to go for if they're ever going to pay back their mortgage) will ever be built...

Thanks for looking.

Pretty little street, isn't it? Do visit.
